This seminar took place on 3rd December 2017 and was made possible with the help of Centre of Excellence in Architectural Technology (CEAT), Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Embassy of Spain in Iran. Among those present were, Dr. Shahin Heidari (Dean of College of Fine Arts) and Dr. S. Yahya Islami (International Adviser to the College of Fine Arts) and Dr. Elham Andaroudi (Assistant Professor in Architectural Conservation). 

 

The seminar began with an introduction by his excellency, Eduardo Lopez Busquets, the ambassador of Spain in Iran. Then, Prof. Maria Josefa Balaguer Dezcallar (architect and professor at Polytechnic of Valencia) and her colleague began talking about the intricacies of architectural conservation of historic monuments in Spain and how it has had a positive effect on cultural tourism. 

 

The session came to an end with question time and discussion.
