Office of Specialized Courses

Introduction

Director

One of the primary roles of universities is to empower various segments of society, especially graduates from higher education institutions, by enhancing their specialized and practical skills for entry into professional fields, organizations, and government agencies. Due to the limited capacities within the formal education system, it is essential for universities to establish and expand a variety of informal educational streams offering both general and specialized training. This initiative is realized through scientific and specialized training programs.

These specialized programs aim to elevate the scientific knowledge and technical skills of the nation's human resources. Such training relies on the expertise of faculty, experienced consultants, and well-equipped educational facilities within the university, all while addressing the genuine needs of the national industry. Therefore, the target audience for these programs includes university graduates, experts, professionals, and managers from organizations and industries across the country.

Strategies of the College of Fine Arts in Conducting Courses

Courses

  • The College of Fine Arts offers specialized scientific courses that are informal, designed to deepen academic learning and bridge the gap between industry and academia. Therefore, these programs do not align with formal educational curricula.
  • The approach of these specialized courses is to leverage the expertise of university faculty members. Experienced professors of higher education participate as instructors, or the courses are supervised by subject-matter experts in each field.
  • These courses can be conducted in various formats: in-person, semi-attendance, and, in some cases, fully online.
  • The quality of these courses is continuously monitored by specialized committees comprising faculty members from the College of Fine Arts.
  • At the end of each course, participants of educational programs and specialized seminars held by the center are awarded a recognized certificate of course completion from the University of Tehran.
