Advanced Specialized Course in Lighting in Architecture

Given the importance of lighting in buildings and the community's need for enhancing the specialized knowledge of professionals in the field of architectural lighting, the Architectural Technology Scientific Hub at the University of Tehran is holding an advanced specialized course on Lighting in Architecture. This course will be conducted with experienced instructors from the Iranian Lighting and Illumination Engineering Institute and will include the issuance of a bilingual certificate from the University of Tehran.

Course details are as follows:

  • Duration: 72 hours, including theoretical foundations, familiarization with related software, light fixture modeling, and field visits.
  • Mode of Delivery: In-person and online.
  • Registration Capacity: Limited.
  • Start Date: Thursday, February 1, 2024.
  • Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays from 9 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM every week. Weekly program details will be announced later.
  • Venue: Faculty of Fine Arts, Graduate School of Architecture. (Address: Enghelab Square, Central Campus of the University of Tehran, Faculty of Fine Arts)

Cost of Participation:

  • In-person: 75,000,000 IRR. Students and members of the Iranian Lighting and Illumination Engineering Institute: 60,000,000 IRR.
  • Online: 60,000,000 IRR. Students and members of the Iranian Lighting and Illumination Engineering Institute: 50,000,000 IRR.

For early and group registration, payment of half the course fee can be made with a single check, one month after the classes begin.

Registration Method: Applicants must send their details including full name, national ID, level and field of study, and mobile number to the email address of the Architectural Technology Scientific Hub: ceat.aca@ut.ac.ir. Students at the University of Tehran and members of the Iranian Lighting and Illumination Engineering Institute should also send a copy of their student ID or an introduction letter from the institute.
