In 2012, the College of Alborz was established as an international campus for the University of Tehran, in order to participate in education, research and advancement of science and technology. For this purpose, the campus, which was situated in the city of Karaj, has been recruiting students at the Master degree level.  

In recent months, a memorandum was signed in order to hold the College of Alborz's classes in the premises of the College of Fine Arts. The School of Architecture agreed to provide the necessary space by renovating a section of Studio III, which had already been used for other purposes. Today, this space has been turned into an office, two small studio spaces and a classroom for Alborz classes.

It is hoped that interactions between the students of Alborz and the School Of Architecture of College of Fine Arts will result in better scientific and research endeavors.
