Iranian Design or more accurately, Weaving, has been employed as a system for producing works by Iranian artists and architects. This system encompasses a way of thinking through to the production of works that is entirely distinct from Western design methods.

In the idea of weaving, geometry and proportions serve as the grammar for creating works. Today, producing Iranian art outside of this conceptual framework results only in repetition. By employing the thinking of weaving and utilizing timeless geometry and proportions, one can create a work that has an Iranian essence without necessarily resembling previous examples.

In this workshop, practical and effective teachings on Iranian geometry and proportions will be provided so that participants achieve a suitable understanding of the material.

Drawing tools and drawing boards will be required.
