The book "Deteriorated Areas; rescuing" by Dr. Seyed Amir Mansouri, Associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Architecture, University of Tehran, was published in 2020 by the Nazar Art, Architecture and Urban Planning Research Institute.
The book addresses the importance of the issue of Deteriorated Areas and the lack of a local approach, incorrect problem identification, and contradictory actions of the governing bodies. It is based on the idea that every executive action in the field of Deteriorated Areas should be evaluated with the criterion of "salvation." Therefore, rescuing the residents of Deteriorated Areas is not only limited to a specific time period and cannot be reduced to a number of organizational components, but is also the main action that every other renovation program must follow. Programs that require unity and coherence around the concept of "residents' lives" and "safety." The following collection is the result of holding specialized meetings and interviews, criticism of relevant news and events, and expert short articles on the subject of Dilapidated Areas in Iran, which have been collected and analyzed in three chapters and can be helpful in selecting strategic priorities.
