One of the characteristics of the development of human societies has been paying attention to historical processes and explaining the patterns of their impact and influence on people and their environment. Since one of the most important urban elements in improving the quality of the city landscape is green spaces, a historical analysis of the green landscape development process can guide us to understand the interrelationships of culture, climate, economic status, and ultimately the level of crystallization of urban management based on scientific principles. It seems that today, the green landscape in Tehran is facing problems that are unable to meet the cultural and climatic needs of the people of the region and do not respond to the city and its citizens. Changes in Tehran's green space after the arrival of modern developments and the effects of the Industrial Revolution in Iran (coinciding with the era of Nasser al-Din Shah) are considered the beginning of fundamental changes in the structure of the city of Tehran and the thoughts of its people. By examining the evolution of the green landscape and the change from private green space to public green space (garden to park) in an exotic way (and the use of green land derived from the picturesque style), it is worth considering how the green landscape changes. Today, most green spaces have become public spaces, and their planting designs have a repetitive pattern in which climatic, functional, and aesthetic considerations are less evident. Therefore, the present study attempts to examine the relationship between the changes in the green landscape of Tehran and the political, economic, cultural, and climatic changes of the central government of Iran from the Nasser era (as one of the most important periods in the political and cultural history of Iran, which plays a significant role in the changes in the green landscape) to the present day. And considering the aforementioned developments, it will address the typology of green space in Tehran. And identify factors affecting each species and analyze the origin of changes in the aesthetics of green spaces.
