This workshop took place from 2-4 December 2017. The aim of the workshop was designing with gridshells comprised of flexible linear components. The first day was devoted to learning the concepts behind this new design methodology and the second day was construction day. After judging the different ideas presented, one project was selected for 1:1 construction in the gallery of the school of architecture. In the final project, the weaving methodology was used to construct the gridshell, which allowed it to be more malleable and easier to construct.

The final model was constructed using PVC strips 70mm wide and 16mm thick. The shell was first constructed on the flat ground and then it was raised into its final position in the gallery. The gridshell was on display alongside the Fourth School of Architecture Exhibition entitled "From Studio to Exhibition 4".
