The Scientific-Promotional Journal "Daricheh," under the license of the Architecture Scientific Association, recognized at the 17th International Harekat Festival
According to the University of Tehran Public Relations, the closing ceremony of the Harekat Festival was hosted by the University of Gilan, where the scientific associations of the University of Tehran were recognized in various categories. The 10th issue of the "Daricheh" journal, published by the Architecture Scientific Association of the College of Fine Arts, was acknowledged in the "Journal" category.
The National Harekat Festival is a competitive event for scientific-student associations across the country, organized annually since 2008 by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
The "Daricheh Architecture" quarterly, under the license of the Architecture Scientific Association of the University of Tehran, is a comprehensive journal with a thematic approach that publishes scientific articles and student perspectives. It serves as a platform for fields including Architecture, Political Science, Literature, Sociology, Philosophy, Urban Planning, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Photography, Civil Engineering, and other related disciplines.
Objectives of the Journal
The primary aim of publishing this magazine is to enhance scientific levels, address the specialized needs of students and alumni, publish student and professional opinions, and create a medium for conveying the ideas and activities of the University of Tehran's Architecture Scientific Association. It is the result of the tireless and sincere efforts of architecture students at the University of Tehran.
The main audience includes faculty members and students at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels from various universities, as well as specialists from research and academic centers. Interested students can submit complete scientific articles, short texts, notes, and opinions on the journal’s thematic areas to the editor.
The journal features sections such as Interviews, Concepts, Special Features, Reviews, Translations, and more. "Daricheh" serves as a platform for Iranian architecture students to share their views, supported by the Architecture Scientific Association of the University of Tehran, striving to convey the thoughts of architecture students.
Thematic Focus of the 10th Issue
The theme of the 10th issue was "Pivot" (Atf), a continuation of the previous issue titled "Transition" (Gozaar). This duality explores various aspects of time and history in architecture. The central questions shaping this issue address the role of history in forming architectural patterns and processes. "Pivot" examines moments in time that mark stylistic, formal, and conceptual changes in architecture and art. What forces drive these changes? Where can we find the pivotal points of contemporary architecture? Additionally, "Pivot" delves into interdisciplinary connections between architecture, humanities, psychology, and more, seeking to rediscover architecture's place at the intersection with the humanities.
