Professor at the School of Architecture Receives the Dr. Ali-Akbar Saremi Special Award

At the "Fourth Night of Architects" ceremony, the Dr. Ali-Akbar Saremi Special Award (for Social Responsibility and Humanitarian Efforts) was presented to Dr. Hamed Mazaherian, Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, Head of the Centre of Excellence in Architectural Technology, and Dean of the College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. This award was bestowed upon him by Ms. Hayedeh Haeri and Mr. Faramarz Parsi in recognition of his invaluable contributions to promoting social responsibility, humanitarian initiatives, and his commitment to advancing the field of architecture in the country.

Following the award presentation, Dr. Mazaherian, in his speech, emphasized the importance of opening university doors to the professional architectural community. He stated that the dialogue between academia and the professional architectural society must be strengthened and that universities should be open to constructive criticism of their educational systems by architects and professionals, paving the way for scientific and practical growth and transformation.

After his speech, Dr. Hamed Mazaherian presented appreciation plaques to Dr. Cyrus Bavar and Dr. Siavash Taimouri, honoring them as pioneers of contemporary Iranian architecture. This gesture was a tribute to their outstanding contributions to the evolution of modern Iranian architecture and a source of inspiration for the younger generation of architects.
