The Sixth National Conference on Architectural Education took place on 3rd and 4th December 2017 from 8am until 6pm. The first day of the conference took place in the Avini Hall of the College of Fine Arts and was mainly focused on lectures and presentation of papers. At first, Dr. S. Amirsaeid Mahmoudi, the director of the conference, welcomed everybody and presented a report about the previous events. Then, Dr. Shahin Heidari (the Dean of College of Fine  Arts) and Dr. Alireza Einifar (Head of School of Architecture) spoke a few words and inaugurated the event. The keynote speaker of the day was Dr. Isa Hojjat. Afterwards the presentation of submitted papers began and the day came to a close with a general discussion at the end. 

Day two began in the Negarkhaneh Tehran (CFA Gallery). In the morning session, the professors and tutors  experienced in undergraduate architectural education (especially the first two years) began to present their different approaches to architectural pedagogy. In the afternoon, a meeting between the different heads of schools of architecture in Iran took place. In this meeting representatives from the following universities were present:

The University of Tehran, Azad University (Qazvin, Azad) University (Science and Research), Imam Khomeini International University, Shahid Beheshti University, Shahid Rajaei University, Shiraz University, Iran University of Science and Technology, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Kashan University, Kurdistan University, Mazandaran University, Bu-Ali Sina University, Tabriz Islamic Art University, Isfahan University of Art, Tehran University of Art, University of Yazd and Tarbiat Modares University. 

After much discussion, it was concluded that a comittee of experts from the 21 representatives of different national universities should be formed in order to review the quality of education in different architectural institutions. The formation of this comittee of experts was deemed essential in order to improve the quality of architectural education in Iran.
