Introduction Station to the Application of Project Management in Architecture and Construction
As part of the Architect’s Week programs, an event titled "Let’s Play Project Management!" was held on April 18, 2025, organized by the Scientific Association of Project and Construction Management of the School of Architecture, University of Tehran, and facilitated by Dr. Seyed Hossein Hosseini Nourzad.
The event was structured into two main parts:
The first part, the games, featured a series of interactive and educational games designed by several student groups from the Project and Construction Management program. These games—titled Empire of Builders, Railman, Zurvan, Crisis Rush, Planfolio, Jenga Leader, and Prochain—each creatively and interactively introduced key project management concepts within the context of architectural projects, making the ideas tangible and understandable for participants.
The second part, The Gateway to Project Management, was developed and run by PhD students of the field. This section aimed to familiarize visitors with the fundamental and practical concepts of project management and provided insights into academic, professional, and practical pathways in this discipline.
The educational-scientific event received a warm welcome, attracting over 600 visitors, of whom approximately 300 actively participated in the games. The enthusiastic presence of students, faculty members, and project management enthusiasts created a dynamic, joyful, and friendly atmosphere—while maintaining a scientific and purposeful focus.
This event highlights the value of adopting innovative educational methods and active student participation in the learning process of specialized concepts in academic settings. It stands as a successful model for blending education and entertainment within a scholarly environment.
