The specialized meeting on "Contemporary Japanese Architecture and Historical Interpretation", marking the closing ceremony of the event "Art and the Space Between, Iran-Japan", was held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the School of Architecture, College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. This event was organized in collaboration with the Scientific Student Associations of Iranian Architectural Studies, Restoration, and Architecture at the University of Tehran, as well as the Iranian Architectural Studies Forum, and was met with great interest from students, researchers, and architecture enthusiasts.

During the meeting, the book "Japan-ness in Architecture" by Arata Isozaki, translated by Elham Andaroudi, was analyzed and discussed. The speakers examined various aspects of contemporary Japanese architecture and its influence on modern architectural trends.

Elham Andaroudi – Faculty member at the School of Architecture, College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, and translator of the book
The discussion covered scholarly and practical perspectives on the historical reading of Japanese architecture, including topics such as cultural interactions in architecture, Arata Isozaki’s historical-theoretical approaches, and the influence of traditional Japanese architecture on contemporary architects.

At the conclusion of the event, a ceremony was held to recognize and appreciate the organizing team of "Art and the Space Between, Iran-Japan" for their efforts in arranging this series of programs.
