A Series of Research Sessions by the Architectural Technology Department

The TechTalk event, as part of the series of research sessions organized by the Architectural Technology Department, was held on Monday, May 5, 2025, with the presence of a group of faculty members, PhD students, and enthusiasts in the fields of Architectural Technology and Construction Project and Management at the PhD Defense Hall of the Graduate Studies Building, School of Architecture. This event was designed and organized with the aim of providing a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and exchange of ideas between students and faculty members, particularly regarding research related to doctoral dissertations.

During this gathering, PhD students from the two majors of Architectural Technology and Construction Project and Management delivered brief and purposeful presentations, explaining their research paths from the early stages of dissertation preparation to achieving initial and final results. Each student, within the allotted time, presented a summary of their dissertation title, main research objectives, methodology, challenges faced, and academic and research achievements. These presentations were followed by feedback from professors and fellow students, creating opportunities for academic interaction and enhancing the quality of research work.

One of the notable aspects of this event was the diversity of topics and research methods applied in the doctoral dissertations. The subjects covered a wide range of areas, including innovative technologies in design and construction, modern management techniques in building projects, and the application of smart technologies in architecture. This diversity provided an excellent opportunity for the audience to become familiar with the latest achievements and research approaches within the fields of architecture and construction industry.

Moreover, throughout the session, participants raised questions and shared comments, fostering a lively and engaging atmosphere that led to dynamic discussions between researchers and professors. This exchange of viewpoints and experiences not only helped PhD students develop their academic insights and research skills but also laid the groundwork for future academic collaborations among students and faculty members.

At the conclusion of the event, the organizers expressed their appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of students and professors, emphasizing the importance of continuing such research-based gatherings throughout the academic year. They also reaffirmed the significant role of these sessions in enhancing the quality of doctoral dissertations and contributing to the advancement of knowledge within the fields of architecture and project management.
