The book " Urban Sculpture; The Management of Preferenges?" written by Dr. Seyed Amir Mansouri, Associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Tehran, and Dr. Padideh Adelvand, Assistant Professor of the Art Research Department at the Nazar Research Institute, was published in 2021 by the Nazar Research Institute of Art, Architecture and Urban Planning.
Urban sculpture in Iran, which is growing and spreading in urban spaces, is one of the subcategories of the field of urban landscape, and explaining and examining the issue to choose the right path of growth and development is considered one of its necessities. Addressing the issue of urban sculpture is a category that requires a comprehensive and strategic view of achieving urban management goals. The lack of a comprehensive definition and the obstacle and recognition of its components to separate urban sculpture from sculpture in the macro and non-urban sense is one of the most important challenges that can affect actions. The following collection is the result of holding specialized meetings and interviews, reviews of relevant news and events, and expert short articles on the subject of urban sculpture in Iran, which have been collected and analyzed in four chapters and can be helpful in selecting strategic priorities.
