Until 1999, Architecture at the College of Fine Arts was offered as a continuous integrated Master's degree program. Since then, the program has been restructured into two separate degrees: a Bachelor's program followed by a non-integrated Master's program. The Bachelor's program in Architecture was established to educate graduates who, as competent architects with practical and professional skills, are able to identify the needs of society and provide appropriate architectural solutions.
The Bachelor's program consists of nine semesters and a total of 143 credit units. Students complete a combination of required and elective courses organized into four main areas: Architectural Design, History and Theory of Architecture, Building Technology, and General Education.
Architectural Design constitutes the core component of the undergraduate curriculum. From the beginning of their studies, students are divided into two groups and receive instruction in two separate design studios for the first four semesters. Upon completion of this stage, the two groups are merged, and students continue the remaining design studios together.
The undergraduate courses presented in the current Yearbook are organized into the following three modules:
Module I includes: Introduction to Architectural Representation, Architectural Perception and Representation, and Applied Geometry.
Module II includes: Architectural Representation I and Introduction to Architectural Design I.
Module III includes: Architectural Representation II, Introduction to Architectural Design II, Human, Nature and Architecture, Rural Studies I and II, Introduction to Architectural Conservation, Urban Space Analysis, and the students' Final Design Project.
