Every year on May 16, we celebrate the anniversary of the first successful operation of a solid-state laser in 1960 by physicist and engineer Theodore Maiman. This day serves as an occasion to honor the role of light in human life and its impact on advancing technology and strengthening scientific collaborations.

The Architectural Technology Scientific Hub of the University of Tehran plans to organize a visit to the "Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian Museum" with the participation of professors from the Iranian Lighting and Illumination Institute.

The late Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian was a painter, designer, sculptor, and collector of Iranian folk art and a pioneer of geometric art in Iran. Her works in the field of modern mirror work are collected and permanently exhibited in the "Monir Shahroudy" permanent museum located in the Garden of Negarestan.

Date and Venue: Friday, May 17, at 10 AM, in front of the entrance to the Negarestan Garden Museum, Baharestan Square, Tehran.

Collaborating Partner: Iranian Lighting and Illumination Institute
